Our science class brings learning to life through hands on exploration, curiosity, and real world discovery. Using the highly respected Real Science Odyssey curriculum as our foundation, students engage in an interactive, experiment based approach that encourages them to think, question, and learn by doing.
Each class is tailored to be age appropriate, allowing younger students to explore foundational concepts through guided activities and sensory experiences, while older students dive deeper into scientific thinking, problem solving, and lab based investigations. Lessons follow a natural progression, helping students build knowledge over time while staying engaged and excited to learn.
Throughout the year, each quarter will highlight a different area of scientific study, giving students a well rounded experience across multiple disciplines. From chemistry and physics to life and earth sciences, students will actively participate in experiments, projects, and discussions that make science meaningful and memorable.

Reading & Grammar Exploration is a structured, hands-on class that combines reading, writing, grammar, and social studies into one cohesive learning experience.
Students follow a consistent weekly routine that includes discussion, writing at their level, and hands on projects connected to themes like identity, community, states, inventions, and transportation. This structure helps students build strong reading, writing, and critical thinking skills while staying engaged and confident in the learning process.
Writing is intentionally leveled by age, allowing each student to grow from where they are, while grammar skills are reinforced naturally through each lesson. Regular opportunities to share and present help students develop communication skills and confidence over time.

A hands-on, real-world class designed to build confidence in both everyday math and essential life skills. Students learn through movement, games, conversation, and practical application making learning meaningful, engaging, and easy to connect to real life.
For younger students, learning comes to life through music, rhythm, and movement based activities. Students build strong foundations in addition, subtraction, multiplication, early fractions, and telling time. Concepts are taught through songs, games, and interactive challenges so students can experience math in a fun, active way.
Older students take learning further by applying math to real world situations. They explore financial literacy, budgeting, and money management while strengthening skills in fractions, multiplication, and problem-solving. Through hands-on experiences like baking, planning, and group challenges, students see how math is used in everyday life.
In addition to math, this class focuses on essential life skills that help students grow into confident, capable individuals. Students develop communication and public speaking skills, practice leadership and teamwork, and build independence through home economics and real world tasks. Entrepreneurial thinking, character development, and problem solving are woven throughout the class, giving students practical skills they will use for life

Our Spanish class introduces students to the language and culture of Spanish speaking countries through engaging, age appropriate activities. Younger students explore foundational vocabulary, conversational phrases and songs, while older students build on grammar, sentence structure and real life application. Across all levels students develop confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing Spanish in a fun and interactive environment.

Our PE/Wellness class promotes an active lifestyle while nurturing the whole student physically, mentally, and socially. Students participate in a variety of fun, structured activities that build strength, coordination, and teamwork. Beyond physical fitness, our wellness focus helps students develop healthy habits, emotional resilience, and positive social skills. Whether they are playing team games, practicing mindfulness, or learning about overall health, students leave class energized, confident, and equipped with skills for lifelong well-being.

Our Summit Music class is active, hands-on, and movement-based, giving students the opportunity to experience music rather than just listen to it. Through rhythm activities, instruments, movement, and interactive games, students stay engaged while building a strong foundation in music. They develop a natural understanding of beat, rhythm, tempo, and patterns, with older students also being introduced to basic note recognition.
Students are exposed to a variety of music styles from around the world, often connected to movement, culture, and real-life experiences. Through singing, group participation, and creative expression, they build confidence while developing listening and teamwork skills. This class is designed to be fun, energetic, and engaging while helping students grow both musically and socially.

A hands on class where students explore art, creativity, and history through engaging projects, storytelling, and design based learning. Each week, students dive into meaningful, hands on experiences that bring history to life while building creativity, confidence, and critical thinking skills. From sculpture and painting to collaborative builds and signature projects, this class blends learning and fun in a way that keeps students excited and engaged.
Designed to be both fun and meaningful, this class helps students learn through doing, creating, and exploring.

Our Agriculture in the Classroom program brings learning to life through hands on experiences at the farm, utilizing the unique resources at Mortimer Farms along with curriculum from the National Agriculture in the Classroom.
Through engaging activities, games, and real world connections, students learn about farming systems, Arizona agriculture, and the journey from farm to table. Students explore how plants and animals grow and develop a deeper understanding of how agriculture impacts everyday life through interactive, outdoor learning.
Throughout the year, students engage in four units—Farm Foundations, Plants, Soil & Growing, Animals & Agriculture, and Sustainability & Food Systems—building a strong understanding of science, nature, and real world connections.
Designed to be both active and meaningful, this class encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a connection to the world around them in a way that truly brings learning to life.
